Another giveaway? So soon?! YES!
My newest prize offering is beautiful, hand-dyed ribbon. Perfect for use in arts and crafts projects, or to decorate a gift you’ve wrapped, using this ribbon will be a pleasure to use no matter what you decide to do with it. This giveaway is sponsored by my dear friend, Debbie Metti. She recently opened a shop on Etsy, and is selling this ribbon and some other goodies. Please stop by her shop and take a peek!
The prizes: TWO lucky readers will win a three-color collection of these gorgeous ribbons!
Ocean Dreams Collection
*
Spring Flowers Collection
*
Here are the product details from Ms. Metti:
You will receive 3 generous yards of each color of ribbon in the collection, for a total of 9 yards. Each piece is measured and cut after dyeing, so it has the crinkled texture and if it was laid flat it would measure over 3 yards. The ribbons are rayon and are dyed with multiple colors to get a variegated effect. Each piece is unique due to this method. The ribbon comes wound on a clothespin and packaged in a clear bag. This ribbon is for art applications only, as the intense colors may bleed when wet. It is beautiful for wrapping gifts. Not recommended for any item that will need to be washed.
How to enter: To enter, simply leave a comment on this blog post. One comment/entry per person, please. The two winners will be drawn and announced on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 so please leave your comment by Monday, May 23, 2011.
Thank you for these lovely giveaway prizes, Debbie. So kind of you!
Good luck to all those who enter…
Warm regards,
Melody
*The bow on the gift box above was made by using one longer piece of ribbon (approximately 12 inches) and five small pieces of ribbon measuring approximately 1 1/2 – 2 inches long. This is a great way to use scrap pieces of ribbon and to make the most of your creative resources!

Hello:
Would love to know how to create this attractive look, as I have flower arrangements that would look great with this crinkled, dyed ribbon look.
Can you help?
Thanks,
Wendy
Hi Wendy,
My friend Debbie is actually the dyed ribbon expert. I’m not sure if she’ll divulge her techniques and secrets, since she does sell her ribbon, but you can find her blog here and can can contact her through her that way: http://kittencreates.blogspot.com/
I hope your arrangements turn out just the way you’d like! :o)
