Giveaway: Art Journaling Goodies!

journalinggiveaway

Did you catch my art journaling post last week?  If so, I hope you enjoyed it.  As you know, I’m a big fan of art journaling – I even volunteer-teach it to at-risk children – and I figured it was high time that I created a post including some of my practices, featuring photos of some past journals and pages/spreads. Now that I’ve shared some of my work, why not have a journaling-themed giveaway?

Let’s Keep the Art Journaling Party Going!

I’m giving away THREE art journaling prize packs this month!  Woo hoo!  Each pack includes an assortment of goodies pulled from my own art supply stash, including decorative paper, glassine envelopes, joss paper, Punchinella, vintage ledger paper, gold paper charms, ribbon, a vintage photo, and more!  (The images above and below feature the supplies from one of the three packs)  And while I suggest using these items in a journal, if you’re so inclined, they’d also make great materials for card making, collage, and other creative endeavors.

Oh my fave right now is mixed media! Gives me an excuse to make an even bigger mess while I’m having fun. And one can never have too much fun, right?

I love it all! Currently I’m obsessed with art journaling, collage/mixed-media, and just making stuff out of other stuff (scarves from tees, brooches out of clothing seams, wired jars, etc.)

Hmm, my favorite medium? That is not an easy question to answer. I am a sort of jack-of-all mediums, actually. I would probably have to say writing, but I do photography just as much, having a small child who is absolutely adorable and living in a beautiful area of the country. I also enjoy woodworking, sewing, oil pastels, naturecrafts and collage. Do I really have to choose just one? LOL.

IMpossible to select just one! I’m currently writing, making jewelry and other stuff from found objects. taking photos and art consumption are at the top of the list and so is journaling and art/journaling.
Love your blog and all your give-aways!

Art journaling is my favorite way to express myself. Inside them, I collage and use many different media: watercolor, stickers and acrylic paint.

I love to collage and use mixed media…found objects, like feathers, acorns, stamps, paint, labels are just a few items along with stones, wires, photos that are fun to use…:0)

Melody, it’s difficult to select just one or two as I’ve seen from the comments of others. I enjoy many forms of art, oil, watercolor, silk painting and scrapbooking. Now I’m headed back to silk painting. Want to get into the art journaling. There are just too many art forms and so little time.

So happy I found your blog today! I’m a program director at a Boys and Girls Club, and I’m introducing art journaling to a group of kiddos this afternoon! Yahoo! My favorite art medium is painting. I don’t do landscapes or portraits or specific things — I just dabble with different designs. I’m also starting to jump into art journaling and mixed media, so that’s my new favorite!
